Counseling for Young Adults

The only thing harder than being a young adult today is being a young woman.

The expectations piled upon them…

  • get good grades
  • have close friends
  • play a sport
  • volunteer
  • get along with your family
  • go to college
  • start a career

It’s enough to make anyone want to scream!

Add in cyber bullying, gossip, body image, emerging sexuality and identity, and it can feel like too much.

So many of the young women, I see have had enough. They’re out of healthy ways to cope.

Many are depressed, anxious, feeling lost and some are finding unhealthy ways of avoiding life. They feel like no one really gets it, and no one is really helping.

That’s where I come in.

Besides years of experience in working with young adults, I also have a passion for it. I get it. “My young women” as I love to call them, learn tools to get to the other side. They leave behind the sadness, pressure, and hurt and build lives full of promise, excitement, and strength.

These are the girls that give us all hope for a brighter future.

Some of the things we’ve conquered together are:

  • Self-image and value
  • Emotional Eating
  • Abusive Relationships
  • Family Conflict
  • Feeling stuck, unfocused and disorganized
  • Uncertain Life Goals
  • Anxiety and Sadness
